S'il ne voulait pas de réaction négative, il ne fallait pas crier sur tous les toits que l'accident était la faute de l'autopilot (ce qui n'est visiblement pas le cas puisqu'il reconnait qu'il n'a pas utilisé le système comme il est préconisé).

Lorsqu'on crache dans la soupe, il faut s'attendre à être éclaboussé.

Quand on ne respecte pas les regles et au on se fait prendre, il faut en accepter les conséquences.

Au contraire essayer de faire le buzz et se plaindre alors qu on ne respect pas les règles, c'est pas quelque chose que j apprécie.

Youyou s'exprime sur FB : la voiture a une connexion internet alors qu'elle est en Grèce du coup il peut consulter l'état sur son téléphone, il communique toujours avec Tesla (dont il se méfie), il ne serait pas contre qu'on lui donne du pognon pour réparer sa TM3 (LOL, il est culotté quand même).

An update...

The car is still sitting in Thessaloniki, Greece. I have been in communication with Tesla representatives by email and WhatsApp to pull crash logs from the car. I noticed today that my Model 3 is now able to connect via mobile network (3G/LTE) to Tesla's network. It is displaying as "online" on my mobile app, but says "Mobile Access Disabled", which means someone from Tesla has locked me out of the system from the backend. Someone from Tesla has therefore also enabled the car to connect via mobile network to the Internet, as this was not/is not a feature available to US-spec Tesla vehicles in Europe. The American SIM card inside the car is supposedly not capable of connecting to any non-North American network, so this should be a surprise to everyone that suddenly the Model 3 can actually connect to European cellular networks after some sort of remote change. I was told by technicians before the European road trip that the SIM card in the Model 3 is soldered onto the motherboard and was not swappable, so we didn't attempt to change the SIM card before going to Europe. Would have been useful to have this connection during the road trip, then we could've installed software updates and had maps.

I am concerned because I didn't authorise anyone to modify my vehicle settings, and furthermore, a representative from Tesla was asking me yesterday by email to sign a consent form to have a European Tesla engineer fly to Greece and have the data pulled in person. I wasn't aware that Tesla was already connected to the car remotely, so it raises questions about why I am being kept in the dark about that connection being established, and why I would still be asked for this consent form. I am currently revoking my consent (that I signed this morning), and I will first ask Tesla to explain what is happening before I proceed further in this process. I think Tesla has been approaching this whole situation with good faith, and I have as well. However, I feel like something is going on behind my back which I don't like so I hope to have this cleared up.

I got a quote for fixing the car from a reputable Tesla-approved body shop in the US. It is a significant amount, and I definitely cannot afford the repair. I am still accepting offers from various individuals who are interested in purchasing the car and attempting repairs on their own in Europe, or who are interested in salvaging the car for parts. I have not made any concrete decisions at this point. I would like to continue the road trip, but that obviously involves 1) buying a new Model 3, 2) renting a Model 3 from someone in Europe, or 3) repairing this Model 3. All the options involve a lot of money and I am considering creating some sort of fundraising campaign to get this road trip back on the road.

So in conclusion, I am trying to figure out how the car's 3G/LTE is magically working in Greece, and why Tesla didn't tell me it was working before locking me out of accessing the car via the iPhone app. Furthermore, Tesla is cooperating with me (or it seemed they were) to retrieve data from the car. The car might need to be sold in Europe, so please reach out to me if you know anyone who is interested, or reach out to people/organisations to tell them that this car is for sale.
